Salary Converter Tool is a free European salary and tax calculator built for workers, expats, and job seekers who want to know what a salary offer actually means in real monthly take-home pay — not just the gross figure on a contract.
We launched in 2025 because we kept seeing the same problem: someone receives a job offer in Germany, the Netherlands, or the UK, sees a number like €50,000 or £45,000, and has no idea what that actually means in their bank account every month. The official government tax calculators are complicated, often in foreign languages, and do not explain what each deduction actually is.
We built Salary Converter Tool to fix that.
Who we are
Our team has direct personal experience living and working across Europe. We have navigated German Lohnsteuer, Dutch Box 1 tax, French cotisations sociales, Spanish IRPF, and UK National Insurance personally. That experience shapes how we write our guides — we explain things the way a knowledgeable friend would, not like a government form.
