Quick answer: the Poland Salary Calculator below turns a monthly gross salary (brutto) into estimated take-home pay (na rękę) for 2026, using the rules that carry into 2026–27. It runs a real 12-month payroll model, because in Poland your monthly net changes during the year: it falls when your cumulative income crosses PLN 120,000 into the 32% tax rate, and it rises when pension and disability contributions stop at the PLN 282,600 annual cap. Enter your monthly gross, leave PIT-2 on if you filed it with your employer, and the Poland Salary Calculator shows January net, annual net and average monthly net.
Poland Salary Calculator 2026–27 — Estimated Take-Home Pay After ZUS and PIT
Use this Poland Salary Calculator to turn a monthly gross salary in Poland into estimated net pay in 2026–27. The Poland Salary Calculator is for an employee on an employment contract (umowa o pracę), resident in Poland, with one employer and the same gross every month. Each month the Poland Salary Calculator deducts ZUS social contributions — pension 9.76% and disability 1.50% on a base capped at PLN 282,600 a year, plus sickness 2.45% on the full gross — then health insurance at 9% of gross minus social contributions, then the PIT advance on the cumulative taxable base at 12% to PLN 120,000 and 32% above, less PLN 300 a month if PIT-2 was filed. Health insurance is not deductible from tax in 2026, so it reduces net in full. Figures are planning estimates, not tax advice, and the 2026 rules are the confirmed basis: the 2027 tax scale and ZUS cap had not been published at the time of writing, so re-check them before relying on a 2027 figure.
🇵🇱 Poland Salary Calculator (2026–27)
Enter your monthly gross salary. The Poland Salary Calculator runs all 12 months and shows how net changes across the year.
Basis: umowa o pracę, same gross every month, one employer, standard deductible costs PLN 250/month, no PPK, no other reliefs. Annual net is the sum of the 12 monthly nets — never 12 × January net. Hourly uses a 40-hour week (2,080 hours a year) from the annual total.

How the Poland Salary Calculator Works in 2026–27
The Poland Salary Calculator works month by month, in the order Polish payroll uses, because each step feeds the next. First the Poland Salary Calculator takes your monthly gross and charges ZUS social contributions: pension 9.76% and disability 1.50% on the month's base — which is your gross, but only up to what is left of the PLN 282,600 annual cap — plus sickness 2.45% on the full gross. Then the Poland Salary Calculator charges health insurance at 9% of gross minus social contributions. Then the Poland Salary Calculator takes the taxable base — gross minus social contributions minus PLN 250 of deductible employment costs, rounded to the whole złoty — adds it to the cumulative base since January, and computes the PIT advance on that cumulative base: 12% to PLN 120,000, 32% above, less PLN 300 a month if PIT-2 was filed (capped at PLN 3,600 a year). This month's advance is the cumulative tax minus tax already paid, rounded to the whole złoty and floored at zero. Net is gross minus social, health and advance, and annual net is the sum of the twelve monthly nets — the Poland Salary Calculator never just multiplies January net by twelve, because that would be wrong for anyone who crosses a threshold mid-year.
That cumulative rule is why the Poland Salary Calculator shows three headline numbers, not one. January net is the steady starting point. Annual net is the year's real total. Average monthly net is annual net divided by twelve, and it is the number to use for a monthly budget — it already includes the December dip or the post-cap rise, spread across the year. If you compare the Poland Salary Calculator annual total with a flat annual-formula calculator, expect a difference of a few złoty: monthly advances are rounded to whole złoty, and the annual PIT return reconciles the difference.
Poland Salary Calculator: 2026 PIT Scale and ZUS Rates
The Poland Salary Calculator uses the general PIT scale for employment income in 2026. The tax-free amount of PLN 30,000 is not a separate exempt band: it is built into the scale as the PLN 3,600 reducing amount (PLN 30,000 × 12%), so tax is zero at a taxable base of PLN 30,000 and below. The PLN 300 a month payroll reduction applies only where the employee filed a PIT-2 with that employer; without PIT-2, monthly advances are PLN 300 higher and the difference comes back in the annual return. Try both settings in the Poland Salary Calculator if you are unsure whether you filed PIT-2 — the annual net is the same either way in the model, but the monthly pattern differs.
| Annual taxable base (PLN) | Annual tax |
|---|---|
| Up to 120,000 | 12% of base, less PLN 3,600 |
| Above 120,000 | PLN 10,800 + 32% of the excess over 120,000 |
| Employee contribution | Rate | Capped? |
|---|---|---|
| Pension (emerytalna) | 9.76% | Yes — PLN 282,600/year cap |
| Disability (rentowa) | 1.50% | Yes — PLN 282,600/year cap |
| Sickness (chorobowa) | 2.45% | No — full gross every month |
| Total employee social | 13.71% | 11.26% capped, 2.45% uncapped |
| Health (zdrowotna) | 9.00% of (gross − social) | No cap, not tax-deductible |
Employer contributions are context only and are never deducted from net in the Poland Salary Calculator: pension 9.76%, disability 6.50%, accident 0.67–3.33% (1.67% default for small payers), Labour Fund + Solidarity Fund 2.45%, FGŚP 0.10% — 20.48% at the default accident rate. Above the cap, only accident, funds and FGŚP continue. The 2026 minimum wage of PLN 4,806 a month is context only; the Poland Salary Calculator does not enforce it as a floor.
Poland Salary Calculator Worked Examples — Monthly Gross, Full Year
Every example in the Poland Salary Calculator uses the same basis: umowa o pracę, the same gross every month, one employer, PIT-2 filed, standard costs PLN 250 a month, no PPK, no other reliefs, no bonuses, no sick leave, age 26+, Polish tax resident.
PLN 8,000 a month — never crosses a threshold
Month 1 in the Poland Salary Calculator: social PLN 1,096.80 (pension 780.80 + disability 120.00 + sickness 196.00); health PLN 621.29; tax base PLN 6,653; advance PLN 498; net month 1 PLN 5,783.91. Annual: social PLN 13,161.60, health PLN 7,455.48, advances PLN 5,980, net PLN 69,402.92 a year, average PLN 5,783.58 a month. Monthly nets vary only by PLN 1 on rounding.
PLN 12,000 a month — crosses the 32% threshold only in December
Month 1: social PLN 1,645.20; health PLN 931.93; base PLN 10,105; advance PLN 913; net PLN 8,509.87. Months 1–11 stay around PLN 8,509.87–8,510.87. In month 12 the cumulative base reaches PLN 121,260 and crosses PLN 120,000, so the advance jumps to PLN 1,164 and net month 12 falls to PLN 8,258.87. Annual: social PLN 19,742.40, health PLN 11,183.16, advances PLN 11,203, net PLN 101,871.44 a year, average PLN 8,489.29 a month. This is the December dip the Poland Salary Calculator warns about — a flat January × 12 figure would overstate the year by PLN 251.
PLN 20,000 a month — crosses the 32% threshold in month 8
Months 1–7: social PLN 2,742.00; health PLN 1,553.22; base PLN 17,008; advance PLN 1,741; net PLN 13,963.78. Month 8: the cumulative base reaches PLN 136,064, the advance jumps to PLN 4,953 as earlier months' income is caught up to 32%, and net month 8 falls to PLN 10,751.78. Months 9–12: advance about PLN 5,142–5,143, net about PLN 10,561.78–10,562.78. Annual: social PLN 32,904.00, health PLN 18,638.64, advances PLN 37,711, net PLN 150,746.36 a year, average PLN 12,562.20 a month.
PLN 30,000 a month — crosses both thresholds, the cap in action
Months 1–4: social PLN 4,113.00; health PLN 2,329.83; base PLN 25,637; advance about PLN 2,776–2,777; net about PLN 20,780.17–20,781.17. Month 5: advance PLN 4,413, net PLN 19,144.17. Months 6–9: advance PLN 7,904, net PLN 15,653.17 at the full 32% rate with full social contributions. Month 10: the cap bites partway — only PLN 12,600 of pension/disability base remains, so social falls to PLN 2,153.76, health rises to PLN 2,506.16 on the larger base, advance PLN 8,530, net PLN 16,810.08. Months 11–12, cap exhausted: social is sickness only at PLN 735.00, health PLN 2,633.85, advance PLN 8,985, net PLN 17,646.15. Note what the Poland Salary Calculator shows here: the cap lifts net from PLN 15,653 to PLN 17,646, but it does not restore the January net of PLN 20,781, because by then tax is at 32% and health is charged on a larger base. Annual: social PLN 40,640.76, health PLN 28,742.33, advances PLN 73,635, net PLN 216,981.91 a year, average PLN 18,081.83 a month.

What the Poland Salary Calculator Does Not Include
The Poland Salary Calculator on this page is for umowa o pracę only. The Poland Salary Calculator does not include PPK: employees aged 18–55 are auto-enrolled unless they opt out in writing, at a basic employee contribution of 2% of gross (0.5% reducible for low income) plus an employer minimum of 1.5% — if you are enrolled, your net is lower by your PPK amount, and the Poland Salary Calculator does not model it. The Poland Salary Calculator does not include under-26 relief, child credit or return relief, and it does not include the 4% solidarity levy on income above PLN 1,000,000 a year, which is assessed annually and not withheld monthly. The Poland Salary Calculator does not model other contracts: umowa zlecenie (mandate, sickness voluntary, costs 20% after contributions), umowa o dzieło (generally no ZUS) and B2B self-employment all have different nets — a different contract means a different net, not a different number in this calculator. The Poland Salary Calculator also does not include a 13th salary: there is no statutory 13th salary in the Polish private sector, so annual figures are twelve months only; a private-sector bonus, if paid, is taxed and ZUS-charged in the month it is paid. A statutory additional annual payment exists only for state-budget-sector employees.
Using the Poland Salary Calculator for a Job Offer
When you run the Poland Salary Calculator, compare average monthly net, not January net — and compare like with like on the contract. A Poland Salary Calculator result of PLN 12,000 gross in Warsaw is not the same life as the same Poland Salary Calculator result in a smaller city, because housing costs differ — but the Poland Salary Calculator PIT and ZUS themselves do not change by city, since PIT and ZUS are national. Run the Poland Salary Calculator with your real monthly gross, check whether you filed PIT-2, and use the Poland Salary Calculator average monthly net for your budget, remembering the annual figure is the sum of twelve months with no statutory 13th salary folded in. If your offer is on a different contract, do not use this calculator for it — ask for the contract type first, because that changes everything.
